Shark Diving

Port JacksonThe winter season has arrived, bringing with it the Port Jackson Shark. These harmless sharks migrate to the shallow reef systems in Jervis Bay from June till November, peaking in July and August. Winter is the time to observe the mating habits and behaviours of these humble creatures. Weekly observations are recorded to directly assist conservation research. Regular guided tours can be arranged throughout winter, both day and night.

Make every dive a survey dive

Crest Diving aim to do just this, but we need the help of our fellow CoastKeeper divers. All CoastKeeper survey divers are welcome to join us for a free guided shore dive. This is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your surveying skills if you haven't done a survey for awhile. Don't forget to bring your Fish ID slates.

How do I become a CoastKeeper survey diver?

Crest Diving is pleased to present this unique opportunity for you join this state wide initiative. As 1 of 3 instructors, Sue can train you to become a CoastKeeper Survey Diver. During your training, you'll learn how to gather data that will be used by marine managers, scientists and researchers, to track impacts to fish species over time.
