Protect, Restore, Explore the NSW coast with CoastKeepers
Join a growing team of volunteers who keep the NSW coast clean and healthy through a range of fun and social activities, such as beach and underwater clean ups, marine surveys and bush regeneration.
CoastKeepers is an initiative of NPA~Marine, a sector of National Parks Association of NSW (NPA). This project involves volunteer diver groups in monitoring the population size and distribution of 50 NSW marine fish. CoastKeepers dive groups have been established along the NSW coast, including Jervis Bay. Anyone who cares about the state of NSW oceans can become a CoastKeeper. All you need to bring is a little enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a passion for the NSW coast and its protection.
Crest Diving and Sue Newson are proud to be supporters of the CoastKeeper project, hosting regular survey dives and organising CoastKeeper events in the Jervis Bay area. As 1 of only 3 qualified CoastKeeper Instructors, Sue can provide training for individual divers and dive groups wanting to take part in this project.
