Shark Diving

Port JacksonThe winter season has arrived, bringing with it the Port Jackson Shark. These harmless sharks migrate to the shallow reef systems in Jervis Bay from June till November, peaking in July and August. Now is the time to observe the mating habits and behaviours of these humble creatures. Observations are recorded to directly assist conservation research. Regular guided tours can be arranged throughout winter, both day and night.

Survey Dives Every Wednesday

Crest Diving will be out on Jervis Bay conducting a weekly Survey Dive.
To take part, divers will need to have their details registered with CoastKeepers and advise in advance of any equipment required. Equipment hire costs and air fills are covered by the CoastKeepers Envirofund grant for every qualified Fish Survey diver completing a survey.
All CoastKeeper survey divers are welcome to join in with this free guided shore dive.
This is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your surveying skills if you haven’t done a survey for awhile.

A 3 hour training workshop will be conducted in the morning followed by two shore dives in the afternoon. There are currently 2 positions available for any diver interested in becoming a CoastKeeper survey diver.
